Rob McClure – President

Rob came to Smith Bailey and Associates from the high-rise luxury condo industry. With more than 1200 units and over six years of project management under his belt, he is very familiar with what it takes to get a project completed. He helped coordinate high-rise projects in Denver, Orlando, Houston and here in Atlanta. Rob has a keen eye for detail and is committed to customer service. Rob’s experience as General Manager here at Smith Bailey and his commitment to excellence make him a great fit to take over the reigns at the head of the company.

Tony Pursell – Vice President

Tony has worked in and around the construction industry for 36 years. He has worked in the residential and commercial industries doing asset tax accounting, ad valorem analysis, payroll and general bookkeeping. Tony holds a State of Georgia Certified Residential Appraisal license, has extensive experience in materials purchasing and was even a framer in his youth. Tony’s widespread experience and technical skills are incredible assets to Smith Bailey and Associates.

Dennis Gerber– General Manager / Estimator

Dennis has been working in disaster recovery for almost 20 years and has worked in every facet of the industry. Dennis worked for over eight years in property claims as an insurance adjuster and earned his AIC designation (Associates in Claims). Dennis worked in North Carolina through hurricanes Bertha, Floyd, Fran, Isabel and others. He has a great reputation for being fair and equitable with clients and insurance adjusters. His experiences as superintendent, project manager and adjuster are instrumental when it comes to writing accurate estimates. His attention to detail and dedication to excellence in customer service are unsurpassed.

Rob Bailey – Senior Estimator

Rob has been in the construction industry over 25 years. He has experience in every kind of construction project from small residential repairs to large commercial projects. For Rob, both personally and professionally, integrity is of the utmost importance.

David George – Estimator

David started his construction career as a framer in 1985 and has built houses in every price bracket. David is also an International Code Council Certified Home Inspector and has real world experience in every phase of construction. With over twenty two years of experience and more than seven years in construction management, David’s proficiency is invaluable to Smith, Bailey and Associates.

Sean Hamilton – Estimator

Sean has over 15 years of experience in single family and multi-family housing construction and project management. He has a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from the University of Florida where he was starting wide receiver for two years (But we won’t hold that against him!). Sean then served his country as an enlisted soldier and a commissioned officer in the United States Army before retiring with a 1st Lieutenant’s rank. His career in the military and in the contracting industry is impressive and we are very excited to have Sean as part of our family here at Smith Bailey and Associates.

Chris Johnson – Construction Superintendent

Chris has over 20 years of construction and sales experience. His outgoing personality makes him a great communicator and his construction background has prepared him for any task. He has experience with single family, multi-family and commercial jobs. Chris was responsible for the renovation of over 30 “Ruby Tuesday” and “Chili’s” restaurants before coming to Smith Bailey in January 2009. Chris knows what it takes to keep a job on a tight schedule and on budget.

Phil Martin – Construction Superintendent

Phil has worked in construction here in his home town from an early age. Phil is an excellent carpenter and has more than 15 years of experience in framing, finish carpentry, and cabinet making. Phil recently left an 18 year career at the Gwinnett County Fire Department before joining us here at Smith Bailey. Phil spent the days between his shifts working as a Residential Construction Superintendent. As a firefighter Phil has seen firsthand the damage that fires, floods and storms can do and is proud to join our team repairing the damage left behind.

Katie Mabry – Administrative Assistant

Katie has been with Smith Bailey and Associates since August of 2006 and has developed into an indispensable part of our company. She assists in coordinating everything from job budgeting to payables and invoicing. She also manages to find the time to answer the phone when you call. So, say “Hi” to Katie when you call in.
