HISTORY

We began when Ralph Smith entered the industry in 1952, and some 50-plus years later, we continue to have a well-established reputation in the insurance construction and damage restoration business.

Rob Bailey, then owner of Cornerstone Construction, was primarily a commercial construction and large residential remodeler when he purchased the Ralph Smith Company to create Smith, Bailey and Associates. The merger increased the company’s reach and scope, allowing Smith Bailey and Associates to draw on the combined resources of its facilities and skilled personnel.

Today Smith, Bailey and Associates excels at every level of the construction process. No matter where you find yourself in the spectrum, Smith, Bailey and Associates is there to help complete your project on time and within budget.

Rob McClure – President
		Rob came to Smith Bailey and Associates from the high-rise luxury condo industry. With more than 1200 units and over six years of project management under his belt, he is very familiar with what it takes to get a project completed. He helped coordinate high-rise projects in Denver, Orlando, Houston and here in Atlanta. Rob has a keen eye for detail and is committed to customer service. Rob’s experience as General Manager here at Smith Bailey and his commitment to excellence make him a great fit to take over the reigns at the head of the company. TOP OF PAGE
Rob Bailey – Senior Estimator
		Rob has been in the construction industry over 25 years. He has experience in every kind of construction project from small residential repairs to large commercial projects. As the owner of Smith, Bailey & Associates, Rob instilled high standards for quality workmanship, fairness and honesty. Dennis Gerber– Estimator
		Dennis has been working in disaster recovery for over 15 years and has worked in every facet of the industry. Dennis worked for over eight years in property claims as an insurance adjuster and earned his AIC designation (Associates in Claims). Dennis worked in North Carolina through hurricanes Bertha, Floyd, Fran, Isabel and others. He has a great reputation for being fair and equitable with clients and insurance adjusters. His experiences as superintendent, project manager and adjuster are instrumental when it comes to writing accurate estimates. TOP OF PAGE
David George – Construction Superintendent
		David started his construction career as a framer in 1985 and has built houses in every price bracket. David is also an International Code Council Certified Home Inspector and has extensive experience in every phase of construction. Chuck Cain– Construction Superintendent
		Chuck started pouring footings for his brother in law when he was 17 years old and built his first house in 1994. Chuck has supervised commercial and residential developments in every price range and has a wealth of experience in all areas of construction. Tony Roach– Construction Superintendent
		Tony started out doing drywall finishing and painting in 1993 and climbed the management ladder till he made superintendent over a subdivision development in 2004. He supervised the construction of over 150 homes between 2004 and 2007. He has an excellent rapport with subcontractors and works diligently to complete each job on time and on budget. TOP OF PAGE
Tony Pursell – Office Manager/Bookkeeper
		Tony has worked in and around the construction industry for 36 years. He has worked in the residential and commercial industries doing asset tax accounting, ad valorem analysis, payroll and general bookkeeping. Tony holds a State of Georgia Certified Residential Appraisal license and also has experience in materials purchasing and was even a framer in his youth. 		Katie has been with Smith Bailey and Associates since August of 2006 and has developed into an indispensable part of our company.
